    • Follow directions the first time they are given.

    • Raise your hand if you wish to speak or leave your seat.

A Guide to Mrs. Richard’s Classroom Procedures

This guide will clarify what is expected of your child this year to help them be successful.

    1. Be prepared! Your notebook, a pencil, an eraser, and a good attitude will be needed every day.

    1. Late Work: Late homework will be accepted only one day after it is due, for half credit. Every other assignment will lose 10% of its point value each day it is late. There will be no extra credit.

    1. Mathspace: Mathspace will be used for classwork, homework, and some quizzes.

    1. Absences: Students are responsible to obtain any missed notes and assignments. When returning to class from an absence, students are to go directly to the ‘absent station’ to check for any work that has been set aside for them and to schedule a time to take any missed assessments. Students will be given two days after each absence to make up missed assignments.

    1. Students must show all work to receive full credit on any assignment.

    1. Marking Period Grades are determined by:

    • Assessments (Tests, Projects, Quizzes): 70%

    • Habits of Learning (Homework, Classwork, Do First): 30%
